Rubik Records is proud to present the newest release from Japan's Maidable, a forward-thinking slice of bass music known as "Chilly Dawn."

Calling back to the time when DnB was both funky and smart, Chilly Dawn sounds as excellent on headphones as it does in the club. These are future beats at their finest, and Chilly Dawn captivates while it motivates, an inspiring groove that will remind you why you decided to venture about 160bpm in the first place.

The flip is called "Trudge," and indeed it does. Darkside grooves that stand in stark contrast, Trudge finds Maidable rough and rugged, a warrior's anthem as he sprints into battle. If Chilly Dawn is the interpersonal groove, Trudge is a solo swagger, bass music for the junglist soldier. Deliciously dirty, there's nothing that sounds like this.
